Global 1200 (OIMO Pensacola, FL Subsea Service Base)

As part of our efforts to continue to build our Pensacola Subsea Service Base, OIMO recently contracted with Global Offshore International to use our deepwater facility and services in Pensacola to support the preparation of their upcoming “Who Dat” Development Pipe Laying Project with their new Global 1200 Pipe lay ship. As part of their two week port visit, Global installed a 310 ft stinger on the stern of their new 532 ft ship. The project was able to utilize our 72,000 square foot dockside warehouse during the recent tropical storm, thereby allowing them to remain on schedule for their project.

As the ship came into port, the local TV and Newspaper ran articles about the exceptionally large size and height. The vessel was officially the tallest ship ever to call on this port that boasts over 300 years of maritime activity.
